Baptism and Atonement

This is when we went to the zoo! All 3 zones.

Shyloh and her companion (next to her) Hermana Knight
My zone and my Mission President
So the President called me Saturday and told me that Faustino (the old guy I always talked about that Hna Tejeda and I contacted him in the street) welp he just got BAPTIZED Saturday!!! Awwww my 3rd! So exciting! I know I wasn't there to see it but just the fact that he got baptized makes it all okay.

You know, there´s always going to be trials. The Lord is always going to test our faith. So yeah, we have some hardships right now with investigators going to church and just finding them and its testing me in a whole different way than my first few months on my mission. But, I know that my faith is growing and I definitely have never had this much faith in my life haha. So I'm grateful for it but at the same time its hard. Even if we are being exactly obedient and using the Atonement every single day and we still don't see any results and sometimes its opposite of what it should be, I know, with all my heart that Jesus is the Christ. Jeffrey R. Holland´s words left a mark on my heart, ¨That when He was on the earth, even He was rejected. It was not easy for Him, it never was easy so why should it be easy for you? Salvation was never easy.¨
I don't even know where to end with that. I don't really want to end in my words because Elder Holland said it so perfectly and powerfully. But from these trials I have a firm testimony that the Lord is there. He is mindful of you and He is mindful of me. We will never suffer as much as He did. Use His Atonement because it is there for you. I know that He is my Savior and that Only through Him we can be happy in this life and even more happy in the next. Only through Him, may we obtain Salvation.
I love this Gospel and I love my Savior. Through Him I can do all things.

I hope you all have a great week and learn more of our Savior. Because through Him can we Truly be happy in this life.

Love,
Hermana Grover

From Mom

Hi Everyone,
I am sending you all a message from Shyloh. She said they did not have P-Day yesterday, it was changed to today and they had a 3 Zone activity at the zoo and park where they played a bunch of sports. She said it was super fun and she and her companion loved relaxing. She only had a second to write a short message. She wanted all of you to know she is doing fine.

Laundry, Have Faith, and Heaps of Tortillas

So I don't have much time but just want you all to know that things are going great and I miss washing machines. To be honest I´m getting a little tired of washing my clothes by hand every Monday for like 2 hours. No wonder why when you see a Mexican lady their arms are ripped! Because they do so much washing for like their whole lives! Unless they have money than they have washing machines but the majority don't. It builds good muscle though! i´ll be pretty ripped when I get home though so that´ll be good. Haha no.
But yeah I'm learning tons and we´re working super hard! We will see the fruit of our labors someday. I know its all on the Lord´s timing though. Just gotta have faith through it all. :) I'm super happy and enjoying getting fat from all the millions of tortillas we eat everyday :) haha no but the food really is delicious. I'm gonna make some stinkin good food for you all when I get home!

Hope you all have a great week! Love you all!

The Lord is Mindful of our Needs, Wants and Desires

So today is the actual Real transfers!...............and my companion and I are still together! yay! We´re super excited because we have just started and things are going so well and we´re helping each other be better and we are seeing miracles everyday. They are just little things but to me, they are huge.

I´ll tell ya about my favorite! We did weekly planning and decided to look for All the old investigators in the area book because we are basically starting from scratch and don't have any investigators. So we picked out all the ones that we felt needed to be found and the ones we wanted. But two girls really jumped out at us. Hermana Knight has tried to find them like 3 months ago but has only met with the mom once and the could never find them in their house again. They both had baptismal dates set for last year. We really wanted to find them and see what happened and maybe help them set new ones. So we tried to find them a bunch of times but they were never home like usual.

Then Saturday we were in their area where they lived just looking for all these other investigators and no one was home. We were just walking around for hours and then we both just got a random thought, go check Luci (the mom). So we walk over there and sure enough they were home. Alejandra (the daughter) answered the door and let us in and then we had a great lesson with them. We invited them to church and they basically said no and so we were pretty bummed. But this week hna Knight and I have been trying to strengthen our faith and to be ore positive that we can find new investigators and they will be baptized and go to church.

Then Sunday came and our investigator Antonio couldn't go to church because he had work. It was rough because we wouldn't have any investigators go to church. But we just kept praying and we fasted that Luci and Alejandra could go to church and progress and that we could have the faith to see it happen. We went to church and there was Luci and Alejandra sitting up front. That moment, I will never forget.

I know the Lord is mindful of our needs, wants, and desires. And I know He is mindful of our investigators too. That was such a sweet experience and just was so special.

I hope you all have a great week! Love you all!
