Inspired Sickness!

So! Just got my hearing aid about 2 hours ago. Its.......weird. I am definitely going to have to get used to it and I am learning how to hear again which is weird. But, when I don't have it in I now realize how much hearing I really lost...and its a LOT....sad.

This week was interesting. I wasn't feeling too hot again. Ha...The sickness was totally inspired though! We had been praying to try and help a companionship and felt that they needed to learn more about leadership. Well the meeting for the leaders in all the mission was this week and I was in the hospital for 2 days. So the girl that we wanted to help learn more leadership (because she is amazing and will be a leader soon in her mission.) She only has 5 months and is training right now! Awesome girl!) Anyway, she got to go with my comp to the meeting and on lots of other things and I stayed with the other girl and it was totally awesome! So inspired! We learned so much and it was great!

They thought I had dengue...but the hemorrhaging kind..lovely I know. Because my platelets were dropping and I had no energy! My whole body hurt,I had a fever, and my stomach hurt. So I was hospitalized for 2 days. My hand hurts so bad that had the needle in it because of the Chikungunya. So, I am recovering from that. Cant move my hand very well so that's nice haha. But anyway, everything turned out to be my intestines. I don't have dengue but from all the food here my intestines are dying haha. So I have to be on pills until I go home :/ Life's great and the work keeps going forward and so do I! I will just lose limb by limb each last week I am here :) haha

Have a great week this week family! I am sad im not there but see yall soon! I love you all!

Being a Sister Training Leader

This week was a little crazy. Didn't have much time to work. We were in Tuxtla about half the week to pick up my hearing aid but turns out that it hasn't come yet. Sad. They said it should be in today or so and they still haven't called so, I don't know when I'm going to get it.

As far as health I'm okay. Still have a lot of pain. There are days where it doesn't hurt that bad and then there are days when I can barely pick up a grocery bag. I'm super tired and think I have a stomach infection right now haha. But everything is okay! I'm enjoying it but to be honest I'm stressed out. Being a sister training leader is hard. You aren't just taking care of one companion but a set of 10 girls and it can be a little crazy haha. Our zone has had some crazy stuff happen lately. One girl just passed out yesterday but that's okay haha, it makes things interesting. Everyone is okay though. I think that's why I'm super tired to because we are constantly on the road and trying to help these sisters when they are down or sick. We have to talk in front of tons of people and give them advice and talks and you have to be constantly making decisions and if you know me, you know that I'm not very good at making decisions so it stresses me out but I am learning. Lots. Other than that things are just peachy.

Hope you all have a great week and those of you going to the reunion have a blast! Travel safely! Love you all

Almost Hit by Lightning and Selling Chicken

So yesterday my comp and I almost got struck by lightning haha. It was DOWN pouring and thundering and lightning everywhere! We were trying to get back to the house and were in the middle of the street and then the biggest flash hit right in front of us and we saw like red and yellow and my comp flipped out. She threw the umbrella in the air and ran the opposite direction and when she turned to run she saw sparks flying down the street. I have no idea where the lightning struck but it was close haha. It was pretty cool actually! Anyway, cool story this week!

This Sunday we were walking to go pick up an investigator for church and we ran into another investigator at her work. So we stopped and said can you go to church? She said I just have to sell these three chickens and then I can go. We looked at the clock and she had about 20 minutes to get it all done. Then a thought came to my mind to ask her to say a pray so that she could go to church. So we said Hna! Can you offer a prayer and ask God if He will help you go to church? So she said it! Then we left and as we were walking I just thought you know what, I'm going to ask the next person that walks by to go buy some chicken. Maybe the Lord will send someone willing to bless the life of a lady. There was no one on the street sadly. So I said a quick prayer in my heart and then this man in a green shirt started walking towards us. I turned to my comp and said we´re going to ask him to go buy some chicken! she laughed and said okay! The man came close and we stopped and I said Hi I'm Hna. Grover and we are missionaries and we just would like to ask a favor. There is a woman down the street that really wants to go to church and in order for her to go she needs to sell all of her chicken. I know that you would be a huge blessing in her life if you´d help her out. (sorry president if we cant do that as missionaries, to tell someone to go buy something.) Anyway, then he stopped and kind of looked at me with curious eyes and said very honestly and sincerely, I'm so sorry, but we will pray for her and hopefully she will be able to go. Then we were about to say goodbye and my comp just randomly asks where ya going? He said, actually I was really just on my way to buy some chicken for a friend and some event thing....We were like well shes selling chicken go buy some!! haha. Then we said goodbye and he left and my companion and I just looked at each other and were like WHAT? That was crazy! What are the odds that we met someone who was really on their way to buy chicken. The sad part of the story is she never came to church but it was still pretty cool haha.

Hope you all have a great week this week! My comp just ended her mission today! So I am getting a new companion. Hna Serrano. :)

Another Tender Mercy

We had another tender mercy this week! We had an awesome lesson this week with a family,(their son is a member). We came Sunday and the dad was sitting there in the sacrament room. He was our only investigator there. The other one that came last week (Julia) couldn't come because she's with her husband in the hospital. Anyway, towards the end of the meeting her son came up to us and said look at the back of the room. Low and behold the wife was sitting in the back! She works on Sunday and hasn't wanted to come for weeks! But we felt that at the lesson we spoke by the spirit and really touched her. Turns out to be true because she came and was able to be with her entire family. It was very special and just a miracle!
Love you all so much! I am enjoying my time here in Tapachula and the pain is getting a little better so that's good.
Have a great week!

Tender Mercy

I hope you are all doing fantastic and enjoying this time of life :) I love you all so much and my companion and I are working hard. We had a little miracle yesterday. We received a reference and went with this reference on Saturday. We were only able to work in our area for 2 days and they had no investigators progressing. So we went with her and she accepted a date for the 13th of June!! Then she just came to church Yesterday! We couldnt believe it. It was just a little mercy from Heaven. She loved church and can't wait to come next week and to start reading the Book of Mormon :) So this week I am very excited to see more miracles and blessings every single day! :)

Love you all so much!
