Transfers

We found out transfers yesterday. Im in the same area with the same companion. But Im done with my training. Yikes

The other day I actually had a normal conversation with a lady in a colectivo and I actually understood her. She asked me how long I had been in Mexico and I said 3 months and she was just blown away. She said I can understand you perfectly! She asked if I had schooling before and I said very little. Just practically the basics. She said wow you are just illuminating. (means you´re very bright or intelligent) and I said to her no if you can understand me right now its only because of the Lord. Anyways it was a little uplifting experience. I notice on days when Im really excited to give lessons and talk to people is when I dont worry or stress about my spanish or what to say and it always turns out to be the best moments. but when I am focusing on spanish and what to say and my excitement about teaching is low I have a really hard time and struggle a lot. We have baptisms set for every weekend this month of July. Hope they happen!
Hope you all are having a great week and just know that I miss and love every one of you!

The main river in my area! Beautiful huh?

Today I got to wear jeans for the first time in 3 months and I felt normal for the first time in 3 months haha naw. But we moved houses today because my comp doesnt like our house at all. Its not that bad but its fine by me because our new house is way nicer. It actually has running water in the shower instead of a little dribble.

José Manual got baptized Saturday! My 2nd! Actually my real 1st one that was all my comps and mine. Jhoanna was my first but like 90% the Elders before. Anyways José has a girlfriend and she´s a member! So they are planning on getting married in September 2015 in the Temple! I wont be on my mission so I wont get to see it :( but super excited for them!

Angel Gustavo´s baptism has been pushed to this week because he had stopped progressing and didnt get married. But we had a Great lesson with him the other day and he started reading the BoM, praying, and attending church again. And he really wants to get baptized this Saturday so we hope and pray it happens!

My comp and I finally resolved Everything and things are So unbelievably better. But now we basically only have one week left and then transfers. Everyone thinks she will leave and I´ll stay. But on Wednesday we had companion exchanges for 3 Days! Because when a companionship has problems they do companionship exchanges for 3 days..I had to stay in my area and be the Senior companion AGAIN. Yuck. But I tell you what I needed it and I was so blessed with the companion that I had. Oh my she helped me so much I cant even express. She regained my faith and confidence and the lessons with our investigators felt so right. We were teaching people and not just lessons. They were directed by the Spirit and it was just so relieving to me. I dont know how to explain it but it was great. So now since this is the last week of my training I have to be the Senior companion. We had a couple lessons yesterday and I had to start and lead the whole lesson. I was freaking out haha. But wow I just remembered what the other companion taught me and the lesson went well. I actually started a lesson and explained doctrine and taught to their needs. I think haha. It was nice and I needed it.

Seriously we are having success here in Chiapa de Corzo because of our Ward. They give us refrences after refrences and they come to our lessons and the Bishop is awesome and our Mission Leader is unbelievably Awesome! And he speaks english haha. But seriously I never realized how much a ward is involved in Missionary work and how missionary work cant function without a ward. Everybody wishes that they had our Missionary Leader. Always people are talking about how great he is and just wow we are very blessed here.

Anyways hope everyone is doing just splendid and I´ll let ya know what happens next week about companions and where I´ll be. I think I´ll still be serving in Chiapa de Corzo but who knows. and new mission president! cool cool
Love you all!

Serve Your Neighbors

Oiga! (hey)

This week was wow haha. Lots of things happened. First off we have 8 investigators with baptisms set!!!! SUper excited! I just pray and pray that they all happen! They are all happening within the next 2-3 weeks! Wowza the time is flying. Seriously. Uh this week I got seriously sick but thanks to my pills I brought from the doctors I recovered in 2 days. I was just throwing up and diarrhea, fever and oy it was nasty! (I missed you Mom haha. I kept thinking the whole time while I was sick, "wow I wish I was with Mom watching Ever After right now." hahaha). But all is good now. A quicky thing because no time. We were contacting in the Park (central park next to our house) and I saw this lady with two kids playing soccer and I thought oh my thats so adorable lets share our message with her. So my comp and I started talking to her and she wanted to hear more so we set up an appointment! We went to the appointment and it ends up she lives Right next door to a family of members of the Church! They never said a peep to her about the Gospel and she didnt even know they were LDS. Anyways the lesson was incredible and she cried and wants to hear more and she is Married! Hallelujah! Haha its not the norm to be married here. Seriously. Anyways what I learned is lots of times the people most prepared to hear the Gospel are A Lot closer than we think. Its not always some random person you see in wal mart. They can be your neighboors your colleages and yadda yadda. Im not saying you have to go and share the Gospel with them but just be an example and try to serve the people you know. An example and service goes a looooong ways. So I challenge you all to serve your neighboor or friend or whomever this week and I want you to email me how you felt! :) haha I love you all and hope you all are seeing the Blessings of the Lord in your lives. Youre blessed a lot more than you realize.
