The Sprit Really Does Speak to Us

I am learning so much its great. These last two weeks are going to be so full of things to do! Then its transfers and wow! Its just flying by. This week was great. I got to work with Hna. Cervantes for 3 days! It was the best! Just like old times and we realized that we literally are the same person! 6 weeks together and we didn't realize it till now and we were only together for 3 days! Crazy but we helped each other so much and I really needed it. Ah! The mission is so inspired!

Anyways I'll tell you an experience that happened so far this transfer!
I´ll just tell you one thing that happened in the past few weeks up until now. In my personal study I felt a strong impression that we could baptize someone that weekend. So I talked to my comp and she told me all the possibilities that have the 5 attendance in church. We prayed about it and felt that one of them, Arturo, could be baptized. So we called him and called him and didn't answer. We said a prayer and called him again and still didn't answer. But we didn't give up. The next day we called him again and he answered and said that he'd be in town on a Wednesday. So we set up an appointment and that was when I got sick and my comp didn't get to visit him. I was bummed and honestly lots of things were happening that week with me being sick and everything that I kind of forgot about it. Then that Sunday hno. Ansel told us that he had just talked to Arturo and he's super excited and wants to be baptized! I was like what?! Then just yesterday he came to church and we found out that he lives en the Elder´s area. So they interviewed him and he got baptized yesterday! Anyways even though it didn't count as ¨my baptism¨ it was just another little miracle shown to me that the Spirit really does speak to me. Ever since I prayed to know if the Spirit really speaks to me, I have seen so many little miracles everyday! Its incredible and I'm just learning that the Spirit talks to us like constantly and I'm learning that I don't obey his voice as much as I should. We, as members, really truly have the gift of the Holy Ghost and he guides us constantly but we will not realize, nor hear it if our lives aren't in harmony with the teachings of the Gospel, and if we are not searching or listening for him.
Everyday there is a new miracle that I realize that I didn't listen to the Spirit or I did. I have never felt so guided in my life. I am now realizing that everything happens for a reason. Our lives were planned and our Father in Heaven really truly loves us. We are so blessed every single day and we don't even realize it.

I love you all and hope you have a great week! Happy Valentines Day to all! :)

Sweet iguana! We were teaching a lesson outside with a stranger and a random lady came running out yelling at everyone that she just killed an iguana hahaha. So I asked if I could hold it. It was funny but ohhh the iguana felt so gross! It was still all soft and warm..eww I felt like it was just going to open its eyes and bite me haha.

The Cure to Sadness is Service

I´m sooooooo happyyyyyyy!!! Haha sorry nothing that great happened this week but I am just so happy. I love life and the mission! The people I get to meet and share my testimony with and learn more of my Savior brings more joy to me than I can express! Its weird how happy I am but I just am haha.
Just want you to know how much I love each and every single one of you. Seriously every one of you! and I want you all to know that I know this church is true and I have finally figured out the cure to sadness. Service! ha..yeah everyone knows that but I really didn't learn it till now. If you just love people, you are just happy. Its the coolest thing. Sometimes its hard but really you will find joy in your life if you show love to people. :) I hope everyone is going great and loving their lives! Life is meant to be enjoyed not just endured :)-President Hinckley.

The mission now is FLYING by! I almost want to cry. My comp and I were talking and we realized that after this transfer (which is only in 3 weeks!!!!) I only have 3 transfers left!!!!!!! That's only 24 weeks...Whaaaaa?! And I talk to you fambalina in like 2 months...haha hello again, real sooon!

Welp that's about it for this week :) Life´s great and I´ll be home before ya know it.

Eating Turtles and Coconut

Ah, I'm just loving it here to be honest! Its totally sweet even though yesterday I just about died from the heat. We are really working hard and not seeing much success right now but hopefully here soon. :) I don't have time to write, but just know that I'm doing great and learning lots.
Love you all!

These photos are just random but of Chahuites. The turtle picture is because this next week we are going to eat those turtles...I'm a little nervous but they tell me it just  tastes like chicken haha. Poor turtle. I think its worse that I got to hold the turtles that I'm going to eat. And how they kill them is the saddest thing. They just stick them in the oven and the turtles slowly cook....how sad no? but  I'm excited to eat something different :) ha.
The other is of 2 Huge coconuts! Awesome huh? they are honkin. Right after this pic they chopped  them up a bit with machetes and we drank the water right  out of the coconut. It was totally sweet but absolutely disgusting. haha I didn't like it at all!  Its a little acidy and I dont know but afterwards I wanted to throw up. Kam it reminded me of when we drank that coconut water..I think this was a little better than what we had at the store but it still wasn't that great haha. But a cool experience. I have videos of it so when I get home you all can watch them :)

New Companion: Hermana Alejandro

We are working like Locos here in Chahuites! Its sweet! I'm so tired but so happy :) I love my area and the people! They are so funny and we all just clicked like the first few days! The youth members here are so humble and strong. They go with us to lessons like every day! That was not usual in my other areas, so that's cool. We are finding new people and its going well. We have a lot of baptisms set for February so hopefully we will see them through. Ah! I just love it here. Its like home to me and I don't know why.
Also, Elder Oaks is coming to Tuxtla in February or so and I got invited to sing in the choir for when he comes! Sweet! So excited, I don't think I sing that well but whatever its awesome that we get to go!!
My comp is Hna Alejandro and she is in my generation. We go home together. So she has 11 months in the mish also. Shes from Mexico City and is a hard working girl. Which I'm excited about. There are a million mosquitoes here but the views are so pretty. Here there aren't collectives its just straight little mini moto taxis or horses with the little trailer behind that take people around. I feel like I'm living in the 50s in Mexico haha. Its cool though but I've never felt so far from home until now. Anyways hope you all have a great week and talk to you next week!
